Not Afraid To Show His Own Face
Yes, Liberty is a trained actor. He studied at university and in Hollywood at the Van Mar Academy with Ivan Markota, and also at the Lee Strasberg Studio in London, with Marianna Hill--who happened to be Elvis' co-star in Paradise Hawaiian Style. He has done numerous commercials and radio interviews throughout the world, from Los Angeles to Mexico City and from Helsinki to Harare, and in 1986 he appeared in the Carl Reiner/Lorimar film "Bert Rigby, You're a Fool" singing a humorous song written for him by Earl Brown, who wrote "If I Can Dream" for Elvis himself. It was entitled "That's How I Turned Out To Be Mr. Elvis P".
Liberty never, ever wears cheesy sunglasses or wigs. What you see is what he is, without illusions. This year he appeared on the British television dramas The Bill and Byker Grove, and on Doug Stephan's US coast-to-coast radio show with his friend Uri Geller.
Of interest to British residents, Liberty worked last Christmas in pantomime at the Princes Hall in Aldershot this December. His role: Prince Charming!
