Europe
Land of High Taxes

Big Ben? Hadrian's Wall?
Suddenly, a notable change of pace! After five years in show business, Liberty finally found a way to break into Europe. While living in Cape Town Liberty was offered a tour in Germany and Denmark, which he readily accepted and moved on to Europe, establishing a residence in Bournemouth, southern England. After a few short trips back to California, Liberty went on a sixty-date theatre tour of England--with a brief interlude in Iceland--covering a period of ten weeks. Later moving to London, he failed to keep track of the time and on his next leaving to do a ship cruise in the Baltic Sea, he was caught by British immigration on his return. The result? Deportation back to Finland--one of the most expensive countries in the world to live in--with no work booked, nowhere to live, and just three hundred pounds in his pocket. Tervetuloa Suomessa! He survived by sleeping on the floor in the corner of a friend's kitchen for two months while waiting for a Finnish agent to organize a tour for him, and then for five weeks he toured Finland by train and bus, going to dozens of out-of-the-way towns in the hinterlands of Finland, having to learn Finnish to find his way from place to place. Then, returning to England with temporary legal papers and money in his pockets, he found a telephone bill waiting, for all but fifty pounds of the amount he had brought back. Welcome to Britain!
He's met beautiful girls in Iceland, smugglers and crooks in the Canaries, and stiff-necked toffs in Londonm and stylish and conceited Parisians.

With Miss World in Iceland
Liberty's tours of Europe have established him as the best respected Presley stylist in the Eastern Hemisphere at the present, from Finland to the Canary Islands, from Wales to Germany and now all the way to Asia.
With Willy Ortiz in Finland
Lib has friends all over the world. Willy Ortiz, born in Peru and a former resident of the US and a veteran of the US armed forces, teaches shotokan karate in Finland now. He is fifth dan (5th degree black belt). Isn't it amazing how some people find their way through the world? He has two sons that teach karate and are champion fighters. Liberty, a student of martial arts since 1967, worked out in Willy's classes there, but his first broken ribs in a karate school happened at a dojo in Tenerife!
